Merrillynn has been a dog trainer and obedience instructor for over 25 years. She has earned titles in obedience, rally, dock diving and conformation.
Her first competition obedience dog was an Australian Shepherd “Uno” aka “Propwash Sealevel You’re the One UD” who earned over 25 High in Trials and was nationally ranked in Competition Obedience throughout his career. In 2003 Merrillynn got her first Border Collie, “Indy” aka “OTCH Nimrods I’m Too Fast N Furious UD OM1” Indy earned his CD, CDX, UD and OTCH with multiple High in Trials and High Combined scores. Indy also competed in the the 2015 National Obedience Championships and finished in the top 15 dogs in the country.
Merrillynn currently resides with two Border Collies “CH Shorelands Good Vibrations RN BN” aka “Vibe” who competes in obedience, rally and conformation. Vibe qualified for the 2018 Rally National Championship.
Her newest member of the family is “Lazydaze Driven to the Darkside BN DJ” aka “Dani” who is currently competing in Obedience, Rally, conformation and dock diving.Merrillyn currently teaches our Pet Obedience Program as well as Competition Obedience Classes & Private Lessons here at Ak9C
